Autobiography, 1886.

Autobiography of George Perry Metcalf of Loraine County, Ohio recounts his childhood on a Medina County, Ohio farm, his service with the New York Infantry Regiment 136, Company D in the Civil War, his law education and experience as a lawyer in Mississippi during the Reconstruction. It includes biographical excerpts from other sources, a Metcalf family genealogy, and aphotograph of George P. Metcalf (b. 1887), nephew of the author.
